“ A follow up to the answer I received from Richard Butler
Question 3505400:

I reviewed the link about Quality Score and remain confused.

The product I am seeking to promote is an ebook aimed at high school baseball players who aspire to play college baseball. Among the 4 keywords I searched, were 'ncaa baseball' and 'college baseball'. Originally Google assigned them a QS of 70.
I got a good number of impressions, nearly 2000 in three days, but no clicks.
The ads I was testing were as follows:

Play College Baseball
Learn College Recruitment Secrets
Don't Get Lost In The Crowd
www.nlprospects.com/collegebaseball

Prepare For NCAA Baseball
Don't Be Another Face In The Crowd
Learn NCAA Recruitment Secrets Now
www.nlprospects.com/ncaa-baseball

The longer they ran without clicks the higher the bid price and the lower the QS, which is now 40.

This being my very first AdWords effort I'm just trying to learn as much from "failure" as I can.

The ads seem to me to be relevant to the search terms and the product, but obviously 2000 searchers don't agree.
Could you offer some kind of critique of this
first effort? Thanks in advance. ”

“ We hear all the time that the best way to test a Clickbank product is to start a ppc campaign and direct link using your clickbank hoplink.

What I would like to know is what keywords for a weight loss product should I test?

Should I go for the broad phrase "weight loss" and a few other broad phrases which have the most traffic volume? Or should I go to the long tail directly?

How many clicks do I need to get "for each keyword", and how many sales from each keyword, do I need for me to decide whether promoting the product using that or those keywords would be profitable. ”

“ This is an update to a question I submitted yesterday concerning my first ever Adwords campaign. Overnight I got 26 impressions. I raised my bid to $0.11 this morning, and now I see my ad displayed. (I didn't see it displayed until after I raised my bid). So my question boils down to my not comprehending why a beginning bid for a spot on an empty page need be higher than a penny or so. Because there have been no clicks as yet I don't know how much they'll actually cost. ”

“ I'm trying to get my mind around Adwords...If I come across a heavily requested search term, e.g.'ncaa baseball' that brings me to a results page that has no Adwords ad or only one or two,
does that mean nobody is bidding on the term? Would I be able to do an exact match kw and set a direct link to a relevant affiliate product for a very low cpc since there are no other ads on the page? I tried, my very first Adwords effort, entered a $.03 bid, got a message that I was below the minimum bid of $.04, raised my bid to $.05... The campaign is identifed as active, but my ad still does not appear. Apparently I'm confused about a fundamental point, but after wading thru the Learning Center I still don't get it. What am I not seeing? ”

“ I have been studying PPC for several months. I already belong to PPC Classroom and am using keyword tools. I am not a beginner. However, I am at a point where I feel I can't go further without one on one help. Increasing my conversions is one of my challenges, and being able to do so consistently is another. I feel that with 30 days or less of coaching, I could knock this out of the park. Is there a source available that provides personal assistance? ”

“ I created a direct link campaign to an offer for the UK and targeted my ad to the UK exclusively. Google then disapproved my ad for "inaccurate URL" because when you follow the link in the US it was redirected to an alternate offer. What is the correct way to run a non-US offer campaign? ”

“ I am a member of Wealthy Affiliates . I would like an
effective adword ad and
a template for a good
landing page.

I realize that once this information is published
it will reduce the effectiveness of this
campaign. I would still
like to see what you could
come up with.

Thank You
