“ I don’t know if I can direct this to Holly, but since she answered my first question, this is in response to that answer. I have two questions: First: I have a website; I looked at the WP fashion themes Holly suggested, and really liked the “Fashionista 10”. So, I downloaded it to my computer, unzipped it, and tried to upload it to my website. I was told to upload to theme folder inside “wp-content” folder. I cannot find this folder anywhere. Is this in WP already? If so, where? If not, where would I put it? Second question: On my website, I have now made different pages with different headings. I would like my blogs to be placed on the pages with the correct subject. But, everything I have tried has not worked to move the blog to the page I want now that it is written and on the header page. I am really feeling like a ditz. Thanks for the help…. ”

“ I have been working with Wordpress for close to a year (but a lot) and have several Wordpress blogs. I also set blogs and websites up for clients as a Freelancer.
I would like to learn enough PHP, CSS, and related technologies, well enough to modify Wordpress Themes and to eventually create them from scratch. For example, I sometimes am frustrated over the location of the widgets not being where I would like them to be. Or I find a theme that would be perfect "if only there were bottom widgets" or "if only the page menu had dropdowns."
I also think I spend much to long editing colors and fonts in CSS, because I have never really "studied" this subject. There is a lot of trial and error and sometimes I feel like my CSS is "haunted."
What I do know of code has been learned "on the fly" - ie, I think have picked it up over the past 2 1/2 years, the way babies pick up on languages. I have never really "studied" it.
But I would like to study PHP, CSS, and related subjects, at least well enough to be able to create and modify my own Wordpress Themes.
I would also like to understand other technologies related to Wordpress (such as MySql), so that I can more easily debug a blog when something goes unusually wrong. Or at least, have a better idea of what has gone wrong.
My question - what educational materials exist on this subject, and what would be the best way to start?
Can you recommend a simple and straightforward informational product?
I am considering getting some "For Dummies" books on the subject, though I am not 100% sure if that is the best way to start, since I specifically want to learn what is relevant to Wordpress. Thanks very much! ”
