“ I just listened to you answer to someone about Squidoo. My question is: If I create videos for the sites you recommend, do they all have to be different? I keep hearing about (forget what the term is but it's the same content on different sites) and don't want to be labeled as unprofessional or unethical. So if I want to get more traffic by setting up things like that should I shoot a bunch of related but varied videos? ”

“ One of my websites is doing better every month, but it seems slow. I am not sure. It is now getting around 13,000 uniques per month, and last month it made about $500 between ads and sales. hat works out to just over 4 cents per unique visitor. It provides information on a certain technology, as well as selling gadgets which use that technology. It makes most of its money with Adsense, followed by Amazon. I have tried selling relevant Clickbank products on it but got very few sales.
(Note this is a long question, you don't have to reread it outloud unless you really want to :) )
I normally add one post or page per day and I submit several articles per month to numerous blogs and article directories, using two syndication services. The site has even gotten up to #20 on Google for a highly competitive keyword (which gets a million searches per month per Google Keyword Tool) and bounced around the SERPs in that range.
Here is my problem - there are SO MANY things to do to improve this website, I am sometimes not sure what to focus on first. I know I could:
Start on video promotions
Do more social networking
Analyze the site more thoroughly in Google Analytics to improve bounce rate of high traffic pages and do other relevant tweaks
Comment more often on blogs in my niche
Submit more of its RSS feeds to more directories
Test different monetization strategies to see if I can improve ratio of earnings to traffic. Maybe I could look into CPA offers, or different add networks, or see about starting a micro continuity program, or this, or that ...
Do keyword research to try to find higher paying keywords
Study the rest of my free materials from StomperNet to improve the site based on that
Study my hard drive full of eBooks to implement everything they say
Hire someone to analyze it and tell me what to do (I have no idea where to find such a service but I highly doubt I could afford it if I did)
Continue fixing up old pages and onsite factors that need tweaking
Etc, etc.
This site is 2 1/2 years old, though I only started working on it much last September, and only started daily updates a couple of months ago. In September it was getting about 2,000 visitors a month, now it's 13,000.
The questions that run through my mind ... am I going to slow? Is this normal speed? Is this a normal traffic/revenue ratio for such a site (providing technological information, and selling gadgets on Amazon). Should I change something I am doing or just continue as I am? What should I focus on next? Should I focus on improving monetization, or focus on increasing traffic? Etc.
I would happily tell you the URL but like most marketers I don't really want to publish this on a public IM-related site.
I know this is a broad question but I would appreciate any input or feedback from someone more experienced than I. ”

“ When the search engines rank your pages, do they only look at organic materials, and Google, etc.
I was wondering if landing pages are taken into account.
Can you please tell me everything that needs to be SEO.
Also, is the new MSN Bing the same search engine, but with just a new name?
Thank You
Patricia Lucey ”

“ I have a question about Bum Marketing.
Before I wrote this I did look up all the previous questions regarding Bum Marketing.
I do understand why the person asking the questions was unsure because there is a lot of conflicting answers on the Internet regarding Bum Marketing.
Rarely does anyone write about an opt-in box. I am not sure why not.
There seems to be two schools of thought, one being to write an UsFreeAds and/or an article with a landing page for which one you chose.
Next it has been suggested to do a Squidoo lens, a website or a blog for the affiliate product.
What would you recommend?
Would it not be a lot of work to maintain a lens or a blog for an affiliate link?
Thank you
Patricia ”

“ Hi, this is a video marketing question:
Trying to figure out the best way to have a video stream right when the visitor visits the page without the need for the video to download first.
Here's an example: http://www.voicebroadcastingpros.com/stocks/stocks.html You can see that it takes a long time for this to download before it's ready to watch.
What other way is there to do this besides the video sites like youtube?
Is there a special process or conversion program?
Thanks for the help,
Mark ”

“ Re for one of the experts that knows WordPress.
Upgrading (now to 2.8 - soon to be 2.8.1) WP seems to be important for security and other improvements, but what a hassle. It seems you have to check to make sure your theme is compatible and all your plugins are compatible, etc. This isn't easy to do - some of these developers are not reachable. I cannot contact the developer of my theme, for example, let alone all of my many plugins. What does everyone else do with these upgrades? ”

“ I own a web based business that provides online driver training classes for individuals that receive tickets or need online classes for driver education purposes in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. I know the importance of internet marketing and SEO activities, and have worked as best I know how to redesign my sites (www.drivertrainingassociates.com, floridasfirsttrafficschool.com) for SEO purposes. Unfortunately I am not an expert in this arena and one of my competitors is very savy at it. He currently has 3-4 of his sites on the first page of Google for numerous keywords and phrases. I want to compete with him as best I can, and so I am looking for a freelance or SEO company to manage an Internet Marketing Campaign for my company. Do you have any suggestions for this? I have looked at SEO inc. and some others, but I just am not sure if I have already done most of what they do. For example, I believe that I already have done much of the site structure work and adding a blog to my site. I just can't figure out what my competitors are doing that I am not, and I need a SEO guru. Do you know any? ”
