“ Hey everyone,

First off, please excuse how "rookie" my questions are going to seem as I don't actually have a functioning site yet, although I'm about a week away from completion of my first one. So I'm really new to this and so will probably have a lot of questions leaving you guys shaking your heads at how elementary they are.

That being said, I have been studying direct marketing for the last 10 months or so and feel I'm worlds ahead of where I was, but still "rookie" - not "expert"...yet.

Anways, I recently, as I was searching for info on the net, started getting bounced around in what was obviously "affiliate" marketing - I think it all started with Robert Puddy and I now see a bunch of other names on here I learned through him since then, and it kind of opened my eyes up to the effectiveness of affiliate marketing and what-not. And now I'm here. Anyways...

Sorry for the "blog", onto my question (and it is going to be basic).

I just spent about a grand on having my site (which was basically a squeeze page I designed myself plus a few other pages) designed by a guy through Rent-A-Coder. I'm fairly happy with the work so far, but one thing lacking is he doesn't quite understand the "why" of some of the things that are in the site - not his fault, just has no marketing background at all. But now that I've been getting bounced around through all of these affiliates, I keep hearing "Wordpress" mentioned. Are most of these sites just using Wordpress? Is it advanced enough to everything we, as marketers, need? Or is it mainly just for blogging and what-not? Is this site just using Wordpress?(Again, sorry for the book)

And thanks in advance,

Rob... ”

“ Hi Guys

You know how it is important to build a list, and the quickest way to get traffic is PPC..but it is costly. Now, there's the Content Network which gets tons of traffic but I understand doesn't convert as well..but maybe that's for Purchases rather than opt ins? I heard you can get PPC on Content for 1 cents a click. So my theory is make a really good landing page offering a good report/guide, and use the Conet Network as a cheap way to build a list. Is this realistic, or is this pie in the sky? See, even if you weren't breaking even on the cost initially, you could make money afterwards with the email series?? What's your expert thoughts.

Cheers,
Phil ”

“ I have set up my first blog and I spent a medium amount of time formatting the blog.

I like the pings, plugins, and widgets that I have chosen.

Is there anyway to make another blog using all of the admin site information?

I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.

Thank you
Patricia ”

“ I recently purchased a play and plug blog from the Warrior Forum. I was able to do the first couple of steps with no problem.

But when I went into the PHPadmin I could not upload the database. I have written to the gentleman I purchased this product from at both his support desk address and I have sent him 2 private messages via the Warrior Forum.

As the data was being uploaded I got the following error message as seen below.

I don’t know what to do since I can’t figure out how to fix the error. I did try reading the manual, but I could still not figure out what the fix would be. My hosting company says that this kind of problem is not in the realm of their free support help.

“ Hi Guys

PPC is doing my fruit in right now!! Agh. I seem to be having a problem with Click Through Rate. I've read Perry Marshall's stuff and he says for the advert, have benefit in line one, feature in line 2. Another says you should include your keyword in first line for good CTR.

Also, many say to copy existing ads for good ctr, another will then say don't copy as duplicates don't get many clicks.

I've tried the "You won't get what you want without reading this" approach, I've tried the quirky ads, straight ads etc. Any advice?

Also, I've read that it's best to turn off ads in USA and make the bids higher in UK only to get good CTR, then add US later.

In short, my head is spinning...can I have your take on PPC, any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Phil

“ I have read about the fact that people reading articles on ezine articles for example could choose to use your article on their blog and likewise I could use someone elses article on my site. Can you explain how this works. Is it a reference to the article itself or can you copy and paste and use it in its entirety? If so do you need to make reference to where it is from etc etc? If somebody chooses to use my article - how would I know?? ”

“ Ok, this is a strange one, but I created a video to show you what happened. Basically, an unexplainable popup showed up while I was in Outlook. It was an advertisement ... extremely effective, but I've never seen this before.

Hoping that one of you know where to get this tool?

Let me know, thanks! Mark ”

“ I am looking for a resonably priced article directory software or monthly membership that is quality and where I can create different unique versions of my articles. In the past I had a membership to a directory; it was pretty good but the only thing was that I saw my articles on some strange sites where people were copying my work. Any suggestions of a good submitter. And any advice on how to avoid some of the strange sites that copy your work. ”
