I have a Wordpress blog whoch has been created for me, it was originally a html site which has been on either google page 1,2 or 3 for the term !baby shower invitations". FOr some reason, since going to this wordpress blog, it has dropped to page 15 :-( Is it because I don't have a Heading 1 on the page, can I do that> How? I've already added the SEO plugin but no joy.

“ Hey Guys. I am currently using and A/B split testing software, so when I test I have index1.html and index2.html. This doesn't effect my search engine rankings which I have worked real hard on getting on the 1st page for many keywords. My question is, I want to switch to KaizenTrack which is a Taguchi method of testing but it requires using a 1 page .php format. Will the .php or multi variate testing effect my search engine rankings? Thanks. ”

“ Can you recommend a good RSS submission software?
I am using RSS Submit which was recommended by Jack Humphrey in the Authority Black Book.
But currently, many of the directories are out of date and the program lacks flexibility and is not very user-friendly. Such as, directories listed in an image file and not alphabetically so I have to scan through visually to find the ones to disable (can't even use Control-F). Also I can not manually enter data for new directories, or move some directories from the automatic submission area to the manual submission area.
It is just not flexible enough and it winds up taking a really long time to get anything done.
Any other suggestion(s) for RSS Feed submissions? ”

“ I would like to know if you can recommend the best places to go for press releases, both for distribution and/or for services which include writing the press releases themselves.
I know there are many options and each website or company seems convinced that their service is the best - do you have any recommendations based on experience?
This is for my own sites and might be for client sites in the future as well. ”

“ Hi,
Does it make a difference to google's search engine to have a site that
uses a sub-domain address vs a regular domain address?
With a sub-domain you don't have to purchase a new domain.
Thanks,
Bob ”

“ I would like to know if anyone has experience with this service, and whether anyone can recommend it or not recommend it:
http://www.freetrafficsystem.com/
Specifically I was looking at the service they offer where they write and submit the articles for you:
http://www.freetrafficsystem.com/article-writing-and-submission/
If the service is good quality this would save A LOT of time for me, because I currently have to outsource, edit, and submit my articles.
I already use a service which submits my articles to blogs (traffickahuna.com) but it doesn't include the writing and submitting service. It just allows me to do it. I don't do as many submissions as I could or should because I have a hard time keeping up with it. ”

“ Hi,
This is a question about page levels.
Is it make a difference if key pages are two clicks away instead of one?
Right now I have One page with quite a number of listings that you can click on to get to that page, which contain affiliate links of products I'd like the visitor to click on.
Does it make a difference for the spiders if these pages are one click from the Home Page or two clicks away?
Thanks,
Bob ”

Can you please explain the difference between putting "follow" and "no follow" on a link.
On my site I have links to other people's sites and articles on ezines.
Is it better to have a "follow" or a "no follow"?

“ Hi,
I'm addressing this question to Matt Garrett as he has answered a question I raised regarding using keywords in sub domains.
My intention, and in fact I have already started, is to have various unconnected niches within one domain eg creditcards.forall.com dogtraining.forall.com and so on. The primary reasons for that is so that I can target specifically the keyword I am aiming for in the title AND because I am new to this, to save on recurring costs on domain names.
However, because the niches are so different I am at a loss as to what to have for a home page for the main domain www.forall.com This is not my domain name by the way.
In other words when someone who goes to creditcards.forall.com and then perhaps goes to forall.com I dont want him to see the other niches I am involved in.Can you advise on what sort of page I could have - I don't want totally blank but can't think of anything appropriate.
Best regards
Glenn ”

“ I've been told of the importance of incorporating my main keyword in the domain name of any website.
Am I right in thinking that if I create a sub domain using that keyword then the same effect would be achieved ? eg.creditcards.forall.com where forall.com is the main domain ”

“ Hello,
I just went on Google to search for a couple keywords, both Clickbank product names. How is it that ads on USFreeAds or threads on Yahoo Answers rank so high? Often, they'll rank higher than affiliates with review blogs...how does this happen and do they stay there for long?
Thanks,
Curtis ”

“ I read in a StomperNET magazine (The Net Effect) that one of the key factors to ranking well was to add a page a day to one's site. So I started doing that and it seems to be working.
But if I have some articles ready ahead of time, do you think its better I post them all at once so that they are up there sooner? Or should I post them once a day so that the site continues to have frequent updates.
For example, lets say I have paid someone to write 7 400-word articles and they are all ready. Which do you think is better:
1. Post them all today, even if that means I won't add a post for the next 7 days
2. Post them once a day for the next 7 days
I know SEO is a dubious field but any thoughts, recommendations or suggestions would be great. ”

“ Hi,
I'm just starting out with my web site, and don't really understand how to generate links.
I read about the program, Traffic Kahuna, and how it can create links automatically, but I also read that those links are to sites that have no page ranking. If the links are to sites that have no page rank, does that nullify it's effectiveness for google ranking?
Is Traffic Kahuna something that can add value or is there another linking program that you could recommend?
Thanks,
Bob ”

“ Hi,
I'm making my first website and it's about Affiliate Marketing, which
I know is very, very competitive niche, so I'm looking for a longer tail word
with less pages in google search.
I'm listing some keywords here and the pages that google says there are.
Could you recommend which number you think would be best to be trying
for with someone just creating a new site?
Are these numbers too low or too high?
affiliate marketing training google pages 81,700
best affiliate marketing google pages 255,000
best affiliate marketing program google pages 38,900
online affiliate marketing google pages 273,000
affiliate marketing tips google pages 151,000
Are there other longer keywords that you think might work better?
Thanks,
Bob ”
